I always felt my research could be relevant for the development of urban studies theories or models but I always felt the need to push my efforts into new ideas that would improve people’s lives in distressed urban areas. This year my wish came through as I because an associate member of the Spatial Ethnography Lab. The lab is committed to developing new, experimental methodologies connecting ethnographic research at the local, micro-scale to research at increasingly larger scales using data visualization techniques and landscape ecology analysis.
